Notices of road closures in Aylsham will be displayed here. These will be because of essential maintenance or organised community events.
Maintenance - Roads, Trails and Footpaths
Much of the maintenance for the road, trails and footpaths around the town is the responsibility of Norfolk County Council, Highways and Norfolk Trails respectively.
SAM2 Traffic Analysis
SAM 2 stands for Speed Awareness Message. The unit is positioned around town where there are areas of concern regarding speeding vehicles. The unit shows a warning to ‘slow down’ if drivers are exceeding the limit. This helps to promote speed awareness.
The data collected from the units by the Town council is reviewed and passed to the local policing constabulary.
