Aylsham Chess Club

​

The Chess Club meets in the upstairs Committee Room of Aylsham Ex-Service and Social Club, 64 Hungate Street, Aylsham, NR11 6AA on Monday evenings from 7.30pm during the Sep – Jun ‘chess season’.

Players will need Aylsham Ex-Service & Social Club membership. This is £15 p.a. (£10 p.a. in subsequent years).

 

Players wanting to play ‘graded games’ inc NCCA (Norfolk County Chess Association) league games will need ECF (English Chess Federation) membership – which starts at £18 p.a. for adult players.

 

Costs: Aylsham Chess Club Membership is £10 p.a.

 

Aylsham and District Flower Club 

 

If you are interested in flowers and would like to spend a relaxing evening watching a flower arranger at work, pop along to one of their regular meetings held in Aylsham Town Hall on the second Wednesday of each month.  Doors open at 7pm for demonstrations to start at 7:30pm

 

The Flower Club hold other various Events, Outings and Workshops throughout the year. New members welcome.

Aylsham WI

 

We welcome visitors and new members of all ages and abilities to our meetings on the first Thursday of the month in Aylsham Town Hall. Meetings start at 7.30pm but come from 7 pm to meet everyone and join us for a great variety of activities.

Aylsham Picture House 

 

We are a not-for-profit organisation and rely on ticket sales as well as seeking donations from companies, trusts and foundations and members of the public. With your help we can show films and create special pop-up events at an affordable price within easy distance of our homes in Aylsham and surrounding areas.

We hold monthly showings at Aylsham Town Hall, doors open at 6:30pm main feature to start at 7:30pm.

Aylsham Care Trust

 

The Pop-In coffee Mornings are held every Thursday morning between 9.30am and 11.30am in the Town hall, this provides a regular meeting place for people to have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

We hold regular monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Town Hall, Aylsham from 2pm unless otherwise stated. Entrance fee £1 Visitors £2.00

 

The doors will be open from 1.15pm each month to give you time to chat with friends, join interest groups etc.

 

We will give you any notices and try to entertain you with a varied range of speakers.

 

You can then enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a biscuit.

 

New members will be able to sign up for membership at these meetings and also join interest groups.

Holt Ridge Morris

We are a  mixed side, of Morris dancers based in North Norfolk. we meet every Monday from 7pm for our practice nights. New members are always welcome.  Please visit our Facebook page for more information.

Aylsham Badminton Club

​

We meet every week from now to the end of July on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 at Aylsham High School sports hall. We are a friendly social club and are always looking for players of intermediate/good standard to come and join us.

 

We play mixed and men’s/ladies doubles and use feather shuttles! Visitors are welcome to come and see how they get on before joining.

 

Full membership works out at £4 per 2 hour session for the school term and a visitors fee of £5. F
