The Cittaslow Committee are delighted to announce an award to celebrate the work of people in Aylsham.
The Cittaslow Aylsham Good Citizenship Award
Do you know someone in the community who has gone that extra mile to help others? Someone whose voluntary work has a meaningful impact on those around them, or maybe someone who is employed but goes way beyond the call of duty? Cittaslow Aylsham has introduced a Citizenship Award to recognise such endeavours and is looking for nominations from the public.
Cittaslow Aylsham’s Chairman, Roger Willis, commented, “There are so many people in our community who seem to be always there to help, who go out of their way to contribute to the town and its people. Whether they come from the voluntary sector or their employment allows them to make a difference to those around them, we think that their efforts should be recognised.”
The first award will be presented in October, coinciding with the annual Food Festival, run by Cittaslow’s sister organisation Slow Food. Nomination forms are available here or you can pick up a form at the Town Council office in the Town Hall.
